PRP TREATMENT FOR HAIR AND SKIN

PRP injections can be ideal for skin rejuvenation or hair loss to stimulate tissue growth and improve skin or scalp health. The process begins with a small amount of blood being drawn from the patient’s arm. The blood is then separated into its various components, including platelets and plasma. The platelets are then concentrated and spun in a centrifuge to isolate them from other blood elements such as red and white blood cells (which would not be beneficial for this treatment). Next, the concentrated platelets are injected into areas where there has been damage to promote healing with minimal scarring. Here are some reasons why you may want to consider PRP injections:

  • Brings out your natural beauty

  • The treatment doesn’t require surgery

  • Personal treatment options

  • It’s a fast procedure

AFTERCARE TIPS

After your PRP injection session, you can expect to see results in as little as one week. You may experience some swelling and redness around the injection site immediately after treatment, which is normal and expected. These symptoms should subside within two days. For the best results, you’ll want to:

  1. Be sure to drink plenty of water and eat a balanced diet.

  2. Avoid exercising for at least 24 hours after your treatment.

  3. Apply cold packs or ice to the area of injection a few times a day for 15 minutes until the treated area heals. This will help reduce any swelling that may occur.

  4. Be careful not to touch your treated area at all until it’s healed completely, even if there’s no visible swelling! Touching can cause more bruising and irritation on top of what already exists from the injection itself. Meaning this will only delay healing time further while increasing risk of infection as well.

  5. Leave the treated area alone until it heals completely (usually within 72 hours after injection).

F.A.Q ABOUT PRP

What is PRP treatment?

PRP treatment uses your own blood to rejuvenate your skin and hair, and it’s ideal for those who have thinning hair or are looking for a way to slow down the appearance of aging skin. PRP treatment is 100% natural and non-invasive. It involves taking a small amount of your own blood and spinning it in a centrifuge to separate out the platelets—the parts of your blood that contain growth factors. The growth factors are then injected back into the area where you want to see improvement.

How many sessions are needed for hair?

The number of PRP sessions needed for hair depends on the severity of the hair loss, but generally, three sessions are recommended.

How much does PRP cost for hair?

The price of PRP for hair varies based on the number of sessions you need. However, the first session starts at $499.

How does PRP work for face?

A PRP facial uses your blood to improve your skin. Blood is harvested from a patient’s arm and treated with an enzyme that activates the growth factor in the blood. The activated blood is then applied to the face, which triggers the body’s natural healing process. After treatment, the skin appears more youthful and radiant, as though you’ve had a facelift or chemical peel.
